Peace message website celebrates ‘Imagine’

« Back

A new website celebrating the publication of IMAGINE, the first picture book set to John Lennon’s iconic lyrics paired with illustrations by award-winning artist Jean Jullien, has just launched, created by Frances Lincoln Children’s Books.

www.imaginepeacebook.com has been designed with all ages and aptitudes in mind. Developed by leading digital studio The Creative Corporation, favoured by musical royalty including The Beatles, Ed Sheeran, Katy Perry and the Bee Gees, the website encourages children, teachers, carers and parents to write messages of peace, to share in time for the UN’s International Day of Peace, 21st September, coinciding with the book’s publication date.

Celebrities including Juliet Stevenson, Richard Curtis, Miley Cyrus, Cathy Newman and Lolita Chakrabarti have already pledged their messages of peace. Cressida Cowell and Ross Collins have drawn messages, and Chris Riddell, Malorie Blackman, Michael Morpurgo support the book.

Juliet Stevenson: “This book is a beautiful visual version of John Lennon’s cry for peace & harmony.  Its message for humanity has never been more urgently needed than now.”

On the website you can you also find downloadable activity resources, an animated trailer using John Lennon’s original song – kindly licensed by the estate and information about the book’s collaboration with Amnesty International. Royalties from the sale of IMAGINE will be donated to Amnesty International.

Why not share your own message of peace? Find out more at www.imaginepeacebook.com.
