Following the release of the fantastic picture book, Malala’s Magic Pencil, Penguin are running an amazing competition, inspiring young voices around the UK to write about the world they would like to see. In Malala’s Magic Pencil, the young Malala dreams about all the changes she would make to the world if she had magical powers. In no more than 200 words, Penguin wants you to write about ONE change that YOU would make to the world if YOU had a magic pencil…
The winning entry will receive some amazing prizes for their school, including a trophy and a collection of inspiring books, with themes of social justice, empathy and standing up for what you believe in, worth £250. Three runners-up will also win a selection of inspiring books for their school, worth £100.
This is a fantastic opportunity to write about something you passionately care about and be in with a chance of winning some wonderful prizes for everyone at your school.
