Would you like to win your very own doodle by a fabulous children’s book illustrator? We have a variety of sketches and doodles up for grabs in our Doodle Dash competition. This week, we have three sketches by Claude creator Alex T. Smith, kindly donated whilst on tour with World Book Day’s Biggest Book Show on Earth.
Author-illustrator Alex T. Smith is the award-winning creator of the bestselling Claude series, which is published in 16 languages worldwide, as well as numerous picture books. This year sees the publication of Mr Penguin: The Lost Treasure, the first book in a new series; Egg Box Dragon, the last book from Richard Adams, as well as collaborations with David Almond and Juno Dawson. Alex is also widely acclaimed for his work illustrating children’s classics: he won Children’s Book Winner of the World Illustration Awards 2016 for his illustrations in a new edition of Dodie Smith’s The Hundred and One Dalmatians; he has created new art for books by Enid Blyton, Eva Ibbotson and Richmal Crompton. Alex has won the UKLA Picture Book Award and the Sainsbury’s Children’s Book Award, and been shortlisted for the Waterstones Children’s Book Award. He was the official World Book Day illustrator in 2014. Claude debuts as at TV programme on Disney Junior in early 2018.

The three winners will be selected at random after the closing date, and notified by email.
If winners do not accept their prize by email within 72 hours, another winner will be selected.
The prizes will be sent to the winners via Royal Mail, UK addresses only.
Only one entry per person is allowed.
