Look out for these fun new National Book Tokens this autumn

Every September, National Book Tokens release their new gift card designs, featuring exciting author and publisher collaborations – and of course the winning design from their Design a National Book Token competition for World Book Day!

This year, they’ve got even more new designs than usual, so there are lots of new characters to spot.

Coralie Fox

Who’s that cheeky fox among the leaves? This beautifully illustrated gift card is inspired by The Fox and the Star by award-winning designer Coralie Bickford-Smith.

Ada Twist

Ada Twist, scientist, is the cover star of this colourful new card, which is based on the bestselling book by Andrea Beatty. Have you read it?

Santa Claude

Alex T. Smith’s unforgettable hero – coming soon to the Disney Junior channel – is back for a fun and festive card to delight younger readers this Christmas.

Bookshop Girl

This bright, bold and very bookish design is based on Bookshop Girl, the first title in Chloe Coles’ sparkly new YA series. Chloe is a real-life bookseller, and her second book is out this month!

Introducing the winner of the World Book Day Design a National Book Token competition: Undercover By Eleanor, aged 12

This year’s winning design perfectly captures the excitement of getting lost in a good book – and is now in shops across the country as a real gift card ready for Christmas. Congratulations, Eleanor!

National Book Tokens are the perfect gift for book lovers of all ages and are the only gift cards sold and accepted in bookshops across the UK and Ireland, including all the major chains and local independents. They can also be spent online and on eBooks. Find out more at nationalbooktokens.com.
