National Storytelling Week (26 Jan – 2 Feb) is a nationwide extravaganza of storytelling! And what better way to celebrate than to spend the week reading and sharing stories? Whether the story is from a written book, audiobook or even from memory, Storytelling Week is dedicated to celebrating all kinds of storytelling.
Storytelling is a big part of our #ShareAStory campaign which encourages parents, carers, siblings and friends to share stories with one another for at least 10 minutes a day. To help you have a fantastic week filled with storytelling, check out our toolkit of ideas and resources with fun ideas for storytelling events. It doesn’t matter if they are made-up tales about aliens and zombies, or fascinating facts about kings and queens, the most important thing is to let out the storyteller inside of you.
