National Doodle Day

« Back

Get ready for National Doodle Day on Friday 20thSeptember. This fabulous initiative, organised by the charity Epilepsy Action, sees famous faces from the worlds of art, sport and entertainment pick up their pens, paints and pencils to create one-off doodles. The doodles are then auctioned off to the highest bidder to raise money for this important cause.

Well-known artists who got involved last year include children’s book illustrators Axel Scheffler, Morag Hood and Guy Parker-Rees. Celebrities like Miranda Hart, Harry Hill and David Baddiel have also contributed their doodles.

Feeling inspired to pick up a pencil and get doodling? Take a look at our Oodles of Doodles Gallery or watch our Illustrator Masterclasses. We’ve got Rob Biddulph on Telling Stories With Pictures, Chris Riddell on Finding Your Style, and Nadia Shireen on Bringing Characters To Life.
