Christmas Q&A with Konnie Huq

« Back

For this month’s Christmassy Q&A we are very excited to introduce Konnie Huq – writer, much-loved TV presenter (she appeared on Blue Peter for over 10 years!) and now children’s author.

Her debut novel, which follows the adventures of a quirky girl called Cookie, are inspired by Konnie’s London upbringing in a Bangladeshi family.

Konnie’s storytelling and illustrations combine her love of both arts and science in a sitcom style. Now a mum to two young children, she aims to inspire children’s interest in science, as the main character and her classmates take on wacky science projects.

Cookie and the Most Annoying Boy in the World tells stories of friendship, growing up geeky and being true to yourself.

With Christmas being the perfect time for exploration, Konnie speaks to us about her favourite Christmas adventures and what a Christmas with Cookie might involve.
