Kat McKenna has worked in the publishing industry for over 12 years, specialising in marketing and brand development. Her work focuses largely on children’s and YA publishing, and includes campaigns for Dougie Poynter, Gemma Cairney, Rainbow Rowell, Tomi Adeyemi, Frances Hardinge, Jennifer Niven, Chris Riddell, Sue Hendra & Paul Linnet, Dork Diaries, and many more.
Kat is currently working as a campaigns consultant with organisations including World Book Day, Penguin Random House, Simon and Schuster, and uClan Publishing. She specialises in brand marketing, digital and social media, and innovation in marketing campaigns. Kat is delighted to be working with the World Book Day team for the first time, to deliver their campaign for 2021.
