BBC Teach Live Lesson - World Book Day 2023. 2nd March 2023, 11:00am. On











Join us live on Thursday, 2 March for a World Book Day BBC Teach Live Lesson.

We’ll be celebrating the joy of books, authors and reading for pleasure in a World Book Day lesson for 7-11 year-olds.

In partnership with BBC Teach, this curriculum-linked English Live Lesson will focus on reading for pleasure through fun interactive activities and encourage your pupils’ love of books and positive attitude towards reading.

This 30 minute programme will be available to watch live via BBC Teach and on the CBBC channel at 11:00 on Thursday, 2 March 2023.

How to get involved:

  • This programme is live and will be accompanied by a live website commentary feed for schools on this page. We’ll be updating it with your comments and shout-outs live throughout the broadcast.

  • Tell us how your school is celebrating World Book Day and we’ll mention as many schools as we can during the show and on our live website commentary feed.

  • Email your shout-outs to with World Book Day as the subject, or tweet us using #BBCLiveLessons.
