    Máire Zepf is a writer for young people. She has written fifteen books for children, including picture books for the youngest children, historical novels and a verse novel for teenagers.

    She has won many prizes, including the CBI Children’s Book of the Year, four of the LAI Book Awards, and White Raven twice. Her books have been translated to ten languages worldwide.

    Máire was appointed as the first Children’s Writing Fellow for Northern Ireland. She is an artistic director for Quotidian – Word on the Street. Máire loves crisps and sea-swimming (although not at the same time).

    Tá breis agus tríocha leabhar maisithe ag Andrew. Ar na cinn is déanaí, tá sraith Muireann, i gcomhar le Malachy Doyle, agus sraith mhóriomrá Rita, i gcomhar le Máire Zepf.     Originally from Belfast, Andrew Whitson is an illustrator, author and educator, who has illustrated and created books on various aspects, from a picture book for children to Celtic books for adults.

    Andrew has illustrated over thirty books. Among the most recent is the Molly series with Malachy Doyle, and the múch talked about Rita series, with Máire Zepf. He has won the CBI Illustration Award of the Year, the Réics Carló Prize, the Literacy Association of Ireland Book Award and the Ibby Illustration Award. His books have been translated to other languages throughout the world.

    Andrew is creative director of An tSnáthaid Mhór, a recognised independent publishing house.
