While hiding under her superhero headscarf, Shelina became an accidental author writing about some of the most important topics facing girls and women today. A global expert on women’s representation, Shelina is a familiar voice on radio and TV. Her first book ‘Love in a Headscarf‘ was a ground-breaking coming of age memoir that challenged our understanding of what it means to be a young woman today.

Start a girl-powered revolution – ‘BeYOUtiful‘ gives girls a framework to navigate the opinions and images they see so they can form their own opinions and have the confidence to stand by them. After all, deciding for YOURSELF is one of the most activist things you can do.
