World Book Day – After School Celebration at the Gardens
Don't stop celebrating books after school finishes! Pop along to the Gardens after school, 3.30 - 5.30 on Thursday 2nd March. Percy the Park Keeper, and others, will be reading stories with you, there’s the Percy trail to follow and more books to read. ” Reach For The Stars ” – A display of astronomical books from the early 1800s to the 1960s in our 1st floor reading room in Belfast Central Library
Do you have what it takes to be a #StarReader? We have a new out of this world display for #WBD2023! Our exhibition features a selection of books and also star and lunar charts from our 1st floor Information Department collection. They date from the early 1800s to the 1960s and they will be on view in our 1st floor reading room cabinets for the month of March. We also have a large selection of books on astronomy that you can borrow from this Department and there will be astronomy and star themed words searches and crosswords for you to complete after you have viewed our display.
