Thank you for supporting us

You’re helping us bring the life-changing benefits of reading for fun to more children and young people.

We champion the fun of reading because it seriously improves lives.

Reading for fun is the single biggest indicator that a child will grow up to enjoy a happier and more successful life – more than their family circumstances, their parents’ educational backgrounds or their income.

But here’s the challenge: It’s at an all-time low, with only 1 in 3 children now saying they enjoy reading. We believe children are more likely to read if they enjoy it, so we’re on a mission to encourage them to see reading as an entertaining, social and fun thing to do. We want more children to grow up with a lifelong, life-changing habit of reading for fun, and all the benefits this brings.

Give every child a book of their own

Your donations help us get book tokens and books to children across the UK and Ireland. For 1 in 4 children receiving free school meals the World Book Day £1/€1.50 book is the first they have had of their own.

A group of young children are engaged in reading colorful brochures at a table. One child wears headphones, while another examines a brochure. They are in a bright, minimalistic setting, focused on their activities.
A young girl with black hair laughs joyfully while sitting at a table, with her hands clasped under her chin. Other children are visible in the background, also engaged and smiling.

Encourage more children to read for fun

By making books fun and accessible, we transform attitudes to reading encouraging more families, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds, to enjoy books together.

I’m an organisation that wants to support World Book Day

We work with a number of carefully chosen partners who share our belief in the power of reading for fun. If you’re a values-driven brand and want to help us reach more children, let’s talk.
