We have got a fantastic line up of digital events to celebrate our 25th birthday. Enjoy these fantastic events  from the comfort of your home or classroom. Our official event programme will be available to download soon!

LIVE-STREAM: World Book Day LIVE with Matilda and friends
Live from the Cambridge Theatre – home of Matilda the Musical
11.3oam, Monday 28th February

An exciting line up of  World Book Day £1/€1.50 book authors – including Children’s Laureate Cressida Cowell will be hosted by rapper MC Grammar and live-streamed from the World Book Day website. The celebration will also feature Chris Riddell, Frank Cottrell-Boyce, Allen Fatimaharan, Hannah Lee and other special guests to be announced. World Book Day are working with long-term partners Roald Dahl Story Company, Royal Shakespeare Company and Puffin are working together to ensure children everywhere can join in the fun.

DIGITAL EVENT: Reality check: Books as a portal into life today
Available from 11.30am on Weds 2nd March.

Featuring £1 book authors Ben Bailey Smith, Sharna Jackson, and Rashmi Sirdeshpande, students will learn about creating realist fiction or writing non-fiction on topical issues.

DIGITAL EVENT: Using your imagination: Books as a way to imagine the impossible Available from 10.00am on Thursday 3rd March

Featuring £1 book authors Nathan Bryon and Dapo Adeola, Simon Farnaby, Michael Morpurgo, Joanna Nadin and Rikin Parekh, and Nadia Shireen, students will explore creating fantastical and improbable worlds for their stories.

BBC Teach Live Lesson
Available on CBeebies and BBC iPlayer from 11.00am on Thurs 3rd March.

A curriculum linked live interactive programme to support reading for pleasure, in partnership with BBC Education. The lesson and its accompanying resources will be available on the BBC Teach website.
