Our mission is to promote reading for pleasure, offering every child and young person the opportunity to have a book of their own.

World Book Day works with publishers to create a list of £1/€1.50 books to appeal to a wide range of children at all ages, interests, and stages of reading.

We aim for the books to appeal to all children, particularly those who need encouragement to read for pleasure.
