The strategy has been developed following conversations with a range of World Book Day’s stakeholders; publishers, bookshops, schools, libraries, other literacy and reading charities.
World Book Day has engaged with research on Reading for Pleasure to ensure our work supports developing a Reading for Pleasure habit. Introducing the 6 elements to building a reading Superpower.
Our mission is to promote reading for pleasure, offering every child and young person the opportunity to have a book of their own.
