How to get involved with World Book Day.

A man in a cap reads a colorful book to a young girl, who looks intrigued. In the background, a woman with a bandaged arm is engaged with other participants. Books are stacked on a table, creating a lively reading environment.

Working with World Book Day

World Book Day champions the fun of reading, because it seriously improves lives. Reading for pleasure is the single biggest indicator of a child’s future success – more than their family circumstances, their parents’ educational background or their income. Almost 15% of children do not own their own book before they are gifted a £1 World Book Day book. (Source: OECD)

Authors and illustrators are a big part of what makes World Book Day special. Thanks to you, World Book Day can bring the transformative power of reading for fun to more children and young people.
