Sophy Henn

Award-winning author and illustrator Sophy Henn lives and works in Sussex, England. She writes and illustrates children’s books in her studio, with a large cup of tea by her side, and can’t quite believe
her luck.

Where Bear?, her first book, was nominated for both the Kate Greenaway Medal and shortlisted for the Waterstones Children’s Book Prize in 2015, and she has been thrilled to win various awards since then, including The Alligators Mouth Award. She was also the World Book Day Illustrator for 2015 and 2016.

Sophy has always loved animals and as a child peaked at 18 pets. She still hopes to top that number but in the meantime contents herself by creating the award-winning series of Lifesize books, constantly marvelling at the wonder of the natural world.
