We’re celebrating the lucky schools who have been chosen to win their dream school libraries!

This year our partners Jigsaw Education Group invited schools to compile their dream library wish-list as part of their World Book Day competition.  Pupils were asked to work together to create a list of books they would love to have in their school library and the most creative entry would be awarded £250 of National Book Tokens to make that dream a reality.
The judges were blown away by the creativity, thoughtfulness and passion for reading shown by every school that entered this year’s competition.
Congratulations to All Saints Church of England Academy in Weymouth who have been awarded first prize and will receive £250 worth of National Book Tokens to spend on books for their school library. The judges were impressed by this pupil-led entry featuring a carefully curated collection of books organised into themes and a powerful vision for creating an even more welcoming library space for all students to enjoy.
The quality of entries was so high that the judges have awarded a runner-up prize to Didcot Girls’ School, Oxfordshire who will receive £50 worth of National Book Tokens for their school. This heartfelt entry placed pupil voice at the centre, with students sharing personal stories about the books that have helped, inspired and shaped them.
Congratulations to both our winning schools!
A huge thank you to every school that took part. From primary and secondary schools to home educators and specialist settings, the entries showed just how powerful reading can be when young people are given the opportunity to choose, share and recommend books that matter to them.
And the impact doesn’t stop there! Every book suggestion submitted as part of the competition will be included in a special recommended reading list that we’ll be releasing shortly. Keep your eyes peeled – there are some fantastic titles to discover, chosen by young readers themselves.
Jigsaw Education Group have created a range of fantastic resources which are available to download from our resources page.
