This downloadable activity pack accompanies the video story of Noisy Farm.
The activities are designed for children in Early Years and Years 1 and 2. They support shared reading at home, in classrooms or in nursery settings.
Noisy Farm is a lift-the-flap story by Rod Campbell, published by Macmillan Children’s Books.
These activities encourage children to explore, talk and respond through play.
Why it works
The pack supports reading for fun and shared storytelling. Children explore the story through drawing, tracing, matching and simple creative play.
The activities also help children connect the story to everyday experiences such as animals, farms and sounds in the world around them.
What’s included
The pack includes five simple activities inspired by Noisy Farm. They are flexible and easy to use at home or in the classroom.
Children can watch the video story together, pause to talk about what is happening, and then try the activities.
Maze
Children use their finger or a pencil to show Mummy Rabbit the way back to her babies.
Noisy Farm
Children draw lines to match each animal to the noise it makes.
Colouring
Children colour the rooster red, yellow, brown, orange and green using the small guide.
Spot the Difference
Children find and mark differences between two farm pictures.
Stick a Picture
Children cut out the animals and stick them onto a plain sheet to create their own farm scene.
