How to get involved with World Book Day.

A man in a cap reads a colorful book to a young girl, who looks intrigued. In the background, a woman with a bandaged arm is engaged with other participants. Books are stacked on a table, creating a lively reading environment.

Working with World Book Day

World Book Day is all about reading for fun, because it’s seriously life-changing for children. As a charity, we rely on your support to raise awareness and make the big day a huge success.

Why not help us inspire a new generation to see reading differently?

World Book Day champions the fun of reading, because it seriously improves lives. Reading for pleasure is the single biggest indicator of a child’s future success – more than their family circumstances, their parents’ educational background or their income. Almost 15% of children do not own their own book before they are gifted a £1 World Book Day book. (Source: OECD)

Authors and illustrators are a big part of what makes World Book Day special. Thanks to you, World Book Day can bring the transformative power of reading for fun to more children and young people.

How to work with us

World Book Day is made possible by working in collaboration with publishing houses who support our work as a charity. These publishers are then eligible to pitch content for World Book Day’s opportunities such as our £1/€1.50 books, audiobooks and video stories.

If you are interested, please ask your publisher to email [email protected] for more information.
