Working with World Book Day

Publishers are vital to World Book Day. Thanks to you, World Book Day can bring the transformative power of reading for fun to more children and young people.

We champion the fun of reading, because it seriously improves lives. Our mission is to promote reading for pleasure, offering every child and young person the opportunity to have a book of their own. You can read more about World Book Day’s mission and impact here.

How to work with us

Publishers making a contribution to World Book Day’s charitable work are invited to work with World Book Day to produce content to:

  • Transform attitudes to reading, making books fun and accessible
  • Celebrate the joy of books, authors, illustrators and reading for fun
  • Ensure the discovery of a wide and diverse range of titles, authors and illustrators to everyone

You can see World Book Day’s guidance for content to encourage reading for fun here. We also use selection guidance based on the evidence of what works to encourage reading for fun.
