It’s World Book Day and school is full of kids dressed up as their favourite literary characters and celebrating the magic of reading. But something smells funny… in every classroom, there’s a teacher letting go of a long, loud, ground-shaking, ground-breaking fart. And when our hero spots a fellow pupil (dressed almost too convincingly as an alien) hovering by the teachers’ bums, and then discovers what looks like a spaceship powered by farts behind a hedge, he’s on a mission to stop some unexpected visitors from kicking up a massive stink!

Dressing Up Resource £1 Information SheetReviews from children:
Polina, aged 11
The Fart That Broke World Book Day is a funny, exciting and adventurous story. It is very well written and has an interesting plot. The book is set in a normal school and, as the name suggests, this story is set on World Book Day when something is not as it seems… There is a suspicious character who the main person doesn’t recognise. Who could it be? Buy the book to find out! I would recommend this book to children that wish to have a laugh or who enjoy a mysterious story that contains many giggles. Trust me, it’s hilarious!
Isabelle age 10
This book surprised me with a series of unexpected and funny events. The story is set in a school on World Book Day when a young boy meets a strange unhuman-like child called Ronnie and his twin, Bonnie. This is a funny, mysterious book about very big farts and a grumpy teacher who falls on his face in class. It will give you lots of giggles. I recommend this hilarious and mysteriously intriguing book.
Maaryah and Annie, age 10
This book is hilarious and really exciting to read. It is set in a normal school just like yours. The story includes lots of characters who are dressed for World Book Day as book characters so you could dress up as any of them and take this book to school. We could not stop reading it . It was really entertaining, especially if you like stories about farting teachers! Our favourite character was Ronnie because he is the reason the adults were farting. If you want to go on a funny adventure, you should definitely read this book!
