Early Years

Books are a key part of children’s play. This Early Years list identifies books for each of the key areas in a nursery classroom. These are: construction (building/how things work), outdoors (including bugs etc.), being me (and pretending to be other people!), creative (arts and crafts/self expression) and vehicles and motion. These books are suggestions which we hope will encourage children to see reading as part of their play.

With thanks to East Street Early Years who have helped us collate the list.
