Schools Short Story Competition
How would you like to finish a story started by Anthony Browne, or a poem started by Roger McGough?
The World Book Day and Evans Books Short Stories competition 2009/2010 has a great selection of first lines from a host of best-selling authors including Francesca Simon, Oliver Jeffers, Tony Bradman, Andy McNab, Philip Reeve, Justin Somper, Linda Newbery and Stewart Ross, who will once again be acting as the competition’s judge.
How would you like to see your students’ stories or poems included in one of the next World Book Day Short Stories Anthologies?
Once registered, every school will receive a first line from a famous author and the first line of a poem from Roger McGough.
